Checking and Angling

Separate Man from the Puck

The definition of checking is separating the man from the puck. This can be accomplished in a multitude of ways, which rarely includes the big open ice hit.

New rule changes have increased player safety and encouraged more speed and skill in the game. Now more than ever, defending players must incorporate proper checking and angling techniques.

Players will work on proper checking form, how to deliver a hit legally, how to prepare yourself for a body check, defensive positioning, stick checking, angling and much more! This camp is not restricted to Bantam aged players and older. It is never too early to learn these techniques. Mite, Squirt and Pee Wee aged players can use the majority of these concepts in their games and practices.

Let National Elite Hockey Development teach your player the real definition of checking!
